However the most popular and large floating market is Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and Amphawa Floating Market but they are approximately at 100km distance from Bangkok.


Chatuchak Weekend Market is the top of all markets, and a real MUST while visiting Bangkok. Chatuchak is perhaps the one of the biggest outdoor market in Asia consisting of a massive 15 000 stalls selling just about anything you can imagine from every corner of Thailand for decades.

The shops here offer apparel, footwear, accessories, and souvenirs. There is also a good focus of tailor shops where you can get customized clothes. Comparatively food stalls are less here inside the market but outside you can find lots around. It is open every day from 08:00 hours to 23:00 hours.

Phuket Weekend Market is a charming heap divided into two sections covered and open. In the covered area, you'll find secondhand items with a huge selection of jeans, T-shirts, curios, souvenirs etc., and in the uncovered area, you'll find huge number of stalls selling fluffy toys, mobile phones, all sorts of electronics, DVDs and CDs, shoes, bags, jewellery and fashion accessories, watches, more clothes and almost everything else. At the end of the market is the food section where, you can indulge into delicious boiled spicy sausages, grilled chicken, fishcakes, exotic fruit and even deep-fried insects.

No.1 #Pratunam Market (Bangkok)

Pratunam Market is one of the main market in Bangkok selling all fashion accessories, clothes, shoes etc. at wholesale prices. Area is covered by small lanes and streets with jumbles of shops selling different items. Prices are very cheap, and best part is, most shops offer retail prices for single pieces.

It is located next to the Amari Watergate Bangkok hotel at the intersection of Ratchaprop and Petchburi roads. Pratunam Wholesale Market is filled with shops and tiny stalls flowing over to the sidewalks and extending all the way to Baiyoke Towers I and Baiyoke Towers II on Ratchaprarop Soi 3.
